Help Shape the Future of Housing in Newport Beach!
These workshops were an opportunity for members of the public to comment on the Housing Element Update process. The intent of the suitability workshops are to listen to stakeholders about appropriate residential densities in various parts of the City. The workshop occurred over two days, with each day focusing on specific areas of the city.
Nov 16: Part 1 focused on three distinct areas, which include the Airport area and Western portions of the City, including West Newport and West Newport Mesa.
Nov 17: Part 2 focused on two additional areas, including Newport Center and Coyote Canyon Landfill.
The Housing Element Advisory Committee identified candidate sites for consideration for future housing. Those sites are identified in different colors, see below.
